During an emergency, your local Emergency Management or Emergency Services office will give you information on such things as open shelters and evacuation orders. 

If you don't know where the nearest shelters are located in your area or which roads are the designated evacuation routes, you should find this out by calling your local emergency management office before an emergency occurs.
